Jhené Aiko Teaches Life Lessons in Music Video for ‘Eternal Sunshine’
While Jhené Aiko is typically the ambassador of cool and pens verses about love and weed, that doesn’t mean she hasn’t had her fair share of trauma in her life. Her latest video for “Eternal Sunshine” details that, as disaster surrounds Aiko, yet she calmly chants “good things.”
Jay Ahn directed the video, and in it Jhené has her head back while the world is happening around her — similar to scenes from the Pharcyde’s “Passin’ Me By" video. A car crash happens, with ambulances arriving with stretchers, signifying Aiko’s potentially fatal car accident from back in 2013.

Family photos flash on the screen, from moments with her mother, who died of cancer in 2012, along with pics of her siblings and daughter. They stand as a reminder that even during trying times, always think of the good things.
