TikTok Star Pinkdoll Shuts Down ‘Light Skin Fishing’ Claims Following Streamy Awards Appearance
TikTok star Pinkydoll is proud to be Black.
The internet sensation was recently stopped by TMZ reporters Tuesday (Aug 29) while traveling through LAX. During her chat with the outlet, she was questioned about fans’ reactions to her appearance at the 2023 Streamy Awards and claims that she’s “light skin fishing.”
As she presented an award to fellow social media star Kai Cenate, the aspiring singer appeared significantly darker than her supporters remembered from her NPC (Non-Player Character) content. An observation regarding her skin tone sparked quite a commotion.
While Pinkydoll, whose real name is Feda Sinon, garnered lots of support, some felt the 27-year-old wasn’t being honest. However, the content creator explained that when she’s out in the sun, she tends to get a bit darker. She added that she “loves being a Black woman.”
She agreed with the reporter when asked if she thought critics were just “hating” on her. “I think they are just hating,” she added.
Elsewhere, she discussed further plans to capitalize off her newfound fame, including acting and releasing more music. Earlier this month, the model shared hopes of someday working with “Munch” rapper Ice Spice.
