Naomi Campbell Covers Special Issue of Interview Magazine
Interview magazine is doing its own Fall Fashion special issue by shining a spotlight on the masters behind the camera. For its 324-page September issue, six photographers were each asked to create a cover photo with a woman who represented beauty, and Naomi Campbell is in the mix.
Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott chose Campbell for their covers, Steven Klein photographed Nicole Kidman, Patrick Demarchelier went with Keira Knightley, Craig McDean shot Amber Valletta, Peter Lindbergh selected Léa Seydoux, and Mikael Jansson picked Daria Werbowy.
"It was like doing six cover shoots," Interview editor-in-chief Keith Pollock told WWD. "There were no restrictions. There was a lot of travel. We shot in Sweden, Ibiza, London, Paris, New York. No photographer was in the same place."
In her cover photo, Campbell poses topless in a stacked gold necklace and cuffs, with her long hair waving in the wind. Her face, of course, looks absolutely flawless.
Each cover model also interviewed the photographer who shot them except for Alas and Piggott, who were interviewed by designer Riccardo Tisci instead.
