Sean Kingston Conscious and Responsive
Sean Kingston's condition has been improving everyday since news of his horrific Memorial Day weekend jet ski crash broke last Sunday [May 29]. Today TMZ reports that although Kingston can't speak because of a breathing tube in his mouth and throat, the singer is now awake, alert and communicating with his many visitors through head nods and hand gestures.Ā

As previously reported, the hip hop singer was rushed to a Miami hospital last weekend after crashing his jet ski into a bridge. The crash was so bad that Kingston was reportedly treated in the trauma ward initially before being sent to ICU.Ā

Sean Kingston was accompanied by longtime friendĀ Cassandra Sanchez at the time of the accident. In the days after the incident Sanchez, who escaped the accident with minor injuries, shed light on what happened. She said that she spotted the low clearance of the bridge and called out to warn Kingston, who was navigating, "We can't fit under there! Are we going to try and go under there? Sean, stop!" The next thing the 23-year-old woman remembers is waking up in the water. Sanchez woke up in pain but Kingston was much worse: "[Sean] was coughing up blood, foam and pink stuff."Ā

The "Beautiful Girls" singer is expected to make a full recovery from his injuries.
