Matches for 2014 African World Cup Revealed
The highly anticipated draw for the 2014 African World Cup took place on Monday in Cairo, Egypt, where the top 10 football teams aiming for glory in Brazil discovered their competitors for the qualifiers playoffs.
Those teams with the highest world rankings — Algeria, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Tunisia and Nigeria — were randomly paired with the lower-ranking Burkina Faso, Egypt, Cameroon, Ethiopia and Senegal.
The pairings:
Ivory Coast vs. Senegal
Ghana vs. Egypt
Algeria vs. Burkina Faso
Nigeria vs. Ethiopia
Tunisia vs. Cameroon
The matches will take place between Oct. 11-15 and Nov. 15-19.
