Pusha T Enlists Diddy, Kanye West, The-Dream for New Album
Pusha T is gearing up to hit the music scene yet again with a brand new release. This time, the emcee has enlisted a slew of big names to help him craft another smash, including the likes of Diddy, Kanye West and The-Dream.
"I'ma give you hip hop album of the year, again," the rapper bragged to Vibe. "[A$AP] Rocky is the only person I played my album for."
Though he remained relatively mum about the details of the project, Pusha did reveal that he has hit the studio with the Bad Boy Records founder. The two got so close during the process that he's even created his own nickname for his new hip hop mentor.
"You can watch a movie all you want and you may [interpret] it your way, but until you sit down with [Martin] Scorsese and he break it down for you..." he said about working with Diddy. "Listen, man, I call [Puff] Sean Pacino. I be calling him Sean Pacino unbeknownst to him."
Diddy isn't the only hip hop heavyweight that gave the "OG Bobby Johnson" rapper cinematic inspiration. "'Ye has his own [Francis] Coppola-esque craziness. But I learn from them all," he said. "These are directors, bro. The-Dream is probably one of the most talented people I've met. I've never seen anybody take control of a beat the way he does. He's one of my favorites to literally watch in the studio."
Pusha T's upcoming album titled King Push sounds like a smash in the making. An official release date has not yet been attached to the LP.
