Red Bull BC One Reveals U.S. Line-Up For Upcoming All Star Tour
Red Bull BC One, the prestigious one-on-one breaking competition, readies the countdown to the 2024 Olympics in Paris by revealing the U.S. line-up for regional qualifiers and its All Star Tour.
For those just getting familiar, the annual and highly-anticipated event summons the best b-boys and b-girls from across the country for battles, community building, mentorship, and paying tribute to this thing we all love known as hip hop.
Windmill-kicking off on July 23 in Philadelphia, the 2022 Red Bull BC One event will be followed by regional cyphers in Austin, Orlando, Boston, and Seattle. From 16 of the region’s top breakers and rockers, who compete in a knockout bracket format, the winners from each area will advance to the Red Bull BC One National Final in Los Angeles.

Now that we’re back outside, this is a prime opportunity for these athletic dancers to not only secure a spot in the elite competition but also vie for a spot to be an official member of Team USA for the 2024 Olympics, as breaking is now considered a sport worthy of the Games.
The Las Vegas city cypher found emerging b-girl Jeyna Ponce taking how the W before placing as runner up in San Diego. “Since I’m new to battling, the open cypher tested my competition skills,” she said in a press release. “I’m not often around an abundance of female breakers and these events showed me the potential of my own break technique while introducing me to a community of individuals I can learn from.”
Ponce, a disciple and family member of such prominent crews as the Jabbawockeez, Full Force, and Super Cr3w, used her decade of training to break out and is set to compete at the regional qualifier in Austin, Texas.
“As breaking takes on a new global stage, this year’s Red Bull BC One season offers an inside look at everything break has to offer,” says Red Bull BC One All Star, Neguin. “The prestigious competition is a celebration of breaking’s roots embodying sport and hip hop and, this iteration will provide viewers an opportunity to see hopefuls compete firsthand ahead of the 2024 Paris games.”
Coinciding with the cyphers, a multi-city tour will feature world-class Red Bull BC One All Stars, an otherworldly, gravity-defying crew, including Logistx (USA), Lilou (France), Phil Wizard (Canada), Lil Zoo (Austria), Ronnie (USA), and a host of others. Together, they’ll serve as mentors for the next generation of breakers, leading workshops, community jams, panels, and exhibition battles meant to take things to an elevated level.

“I’m excited to get back on the road and reconnect with the b-boys and b-girls bringing break to new heights,” says Red Bull BC One All Star Ronnie. “With breaking making its way to the 2024 Paris Games, mentorship takes on an important role. This is the moment to inspire the next generation while ensuring the strong foundation of heritage.”
As the World Final will crown a new champion in New York, returning to the birthplace of break for the first time in 13 years, this is a grand opportunity to pay tribute to the sport’s heritage ahead of the culture’s 50th golden anniversary.
