Angus Cloud's Cause of Death Revealed
Angus Cloud's July passing was determined to result from an accidental overdose involving cocaine, fentanyl, and other substances, as disclosed this week by a Northern California coroner's office.
The emerging star, best known for his performance as Fez on the critically acclaimed drama “Euphoria,” died following “acute intoxication” due to the “combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl, and benzodiazepines,” the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau said.
Cloud was discovered unresponsive at his parents' Oakland home on July 31, mere weeks following his 25th birthday celebration. Just a week prior, he had laid his father to rest and reportedly grappled with the emotional aftermath of this loss.
Tributes from fans and co-stars began to flood the internet almost instantly. Emmy Award-winning actress Zendaya uploaded a black-and-white photo of the late actor, noting that “words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor).”
The former Disney star, who played the lead role of Rue Bennett in the series, expressed gratitude because she “got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm, kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I’m smiling now just thinking of it)."
She concluded her tribute, speaking directly to Cloud’s family. “My heart is with his mother and family at this time,” she wrote before cautioning online users to “please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone.
