Shannon Sharpe Slams NFL Saying ‘Outkast, Usher, T.I., Migos Are ATL Originals And We Get Maroon 5’
The NFL season just kicked off, but details about the final game of the season has fans in an uproar.
Billboard confirmed that rock band Maroon 5 would be gracing the stage during Super Bowl 53's Halftime performance, and social media is not pleased.
Because Super Bowl 53 will take place in Atlanta, fans believed the NFL missed an opportunity to showcase ATL's huge hip-hop music scene.
While fans called the NFL out for steering clear of rap music, Billboard also reported that Cardi B and Travis Scott will join the band as special guests during the halftime show.
Here's what social media had to say:
Despite the public outrage, the NFL told Billboard that they plan to maintain its "Super Bowl tradition" by keeping performance details under wraps. "We are continuing to work with Pepsi on our plans, but do not have any announcements to make on what will be another epic show."
Only time will tell who'll be gracing the stage at Super Bowl 53.
