Here's The 'Biggest Snitch' In The Rap Game, According To Twitter

The internet is feeling this rapper over his new music video.

As we all should know by now, snitching in the hip-hop community is heavily frowned upon. When it comes to snitching, you just don’t do it. But apparently one rapper must have missed the memo. A certain someone recently dropping a music video, alluding to him snitching on another rapper, and now the internet is ready to crucify him.

Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave released the visuals for his latest single, “2 Legit 2 Quit,” with quite the message. In the video, the artist appears to address the Irving Plaza shooting, which took place in May 2016, and his notorious beef with podcast personality Taxstone.

In the video, which is in animated form, Troy is seen sitting on the podium in court where he is asked to testify about a particular event. The rapper then flips his middle finger at an unidentified person in front of him while rapping ruthless lyrics. While this is a dramatization, many viewers believe Troy is referencing a court case in which he's asked to testify against the man who killed his friend and bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter during the concert in New York's Irving Plaza. "I’m only loyal to my fam/Middle finger from the stand/It’s either me or you," he spits.

While much of Twitter was turned off by Troy Ave’s video, some tried to understand the situation. As previously reported, Taxstone was indicted in July 2017 for the second-degree murder of Banga. Taxstone and Troy Ave also have a longstanding beef with one another.

“2 Legit 2 Quit” is coming from Troy’s White Christmas 5 mixtape. Check out the music video and the Twitter reactions below.
