Grammy-award winning artist Tye Tribbett is hosting a concert in early July in honor of the nine victims of the Charleston church shooting. Funds from the "Hate Won’t Win" event will be used to relieve burial debt as well as other expenses accumulated by victims’ families.

Nine people were killed in the June 17 attack on AME Emanuel in South Carolina. The concert will feature Tribbett as well as other award-winning gospel artists. Gold-selling artist Israel Houghton, “Break Every Chain” singer Tasha Cobbs, R&B singer Mali Music, and South Carolina native Travis Greene all plan to perform.

“Gospel is the good news,” Tribbett said. “By spreading the music we induce hope, and we train new worship leaders so they are equipped with the same intent to go fearlessly where some have lost hope and to boldly declare through this gospel that there is yet hope.”

The concert will bring the first day of Tribbett’s second annual “The Chosen Music Mentorship” conference to a close. The program trains church worship leaders through the use of spiritual and practical workshops.
