Did Big Sean and Ariana Grande Break Up Over A Disrespectful Rap Lyric?
The rumors are swirling after the announcement this week that Big Sean and Ariana Grande have broken up.
TMZ is claiming that Grande cut ties with the G.O.O.D Music rapper because of a derogatory lyric aimed at her on his song “Stay Down.” He raps, “I ain’t even gonna lie, I got a million dollar chick/With a billion dollar pu**y/Every time I cum, I swear to God I feel I be rich.”
Sources tell TMZ that the 21-year-old singer felt “like a piece of meat.” She was also especially embarrassed when her grandmother asked about the lyrics.
This recent claim adds to several other reasons why they might have broken up. Their reps have said they’re no longer dating because of upcoming tour schedule conflicts. Another possibility is Justin Bieber, who came out as a surprise guest during Grande’s performance earlier this month and made a come-from-behind stage embrace. Sean thought she was using Bieber as a weapon to hurt him.
TMZ also reported that Grande didn’t show up to Sean’s House of Blues performance in February because she wanted to prep for the Grammys. He called her “selfish,” which sparked tensions.
