Jodeci Cancels Tour Dates as K-Ci Recovers from Pneumonia

The R&B legend is recuperating at home after being hospitalized.

Jodeci fans were looking forward to a night of classic R&B, but their hearts are now with lead singer K-Ci, who has been sidelined by pneumonia.

K-Ci’s manager, Michael Paran, confirmed to TMZ that the singer was hospitalized but has since been released and is now recuperating at home with antibiotics. While the news initially sparked concern, Paran assured fans that K-Ci is on the mend.

Out of caution, the group has decided to cancel this weekend’s tour dates—including the highly anticipated Valentine’s Day show at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre and a follow-up performance in Connecticut—to allow the singer to take time to rest and recover. The former venue announced on Facebook that refunds would be issued, noting that “no further action is required.”

Still, Paran says the group is working on rescheduling the canceled dates so fans won’t have to miss out entirely. He also confirmed that all Jodeci concerts after this weekend will proceed as planned.

For now, fans are rallying behind K-Ci as he prioritizes his health. Get well soon, K-Ci.
