C-Murder Posts Heartfelt Message To Monica And Kim Kardashian

Master P hopes this will be key to his brother’s freedom.

Following news of his ex Monica’s joint quest with Kim Kardashian-West to get him released from prison, Corey “C-Murder” Miller took to Instagram to express the emotions he’s feeling amid renewed interest over his case.

  • In an Instagram post on Monday (August 17), the No Limit rapper sent his sincerest appreciation to both women for their efforts to overturn his conviction with a heartfelt message.

“[Seven] months ago, I called [Monica and] she conferenced in [Kim Kardashian-West]! I did not know Moses had been working to reach Kim,” he penned. “After our call, for the first time in 19 years, I slept!! You can rest behind these walls but never do you actually sleep! My case had been stagnant for years!”
He continued, “So I published multiple books to help feed my kids & pay lawyers bare minimum! I am a man so it was no one’s responsibility to save me & no one attempted to! But when you trust God, he will send his angels!”

C-Murder concluded the post with a message to any man or woman facing similar circumstances, writing “To any man or woman fighting the injustices of the system, DON'T EVER GIVE UP!!! And do as I am. Focus on the Blessings, Not the Betrayals!”

C-Murder rose to fame as a member of the rap group TRU alongside his brothers, rap mogul Percy “Master P” Miller and Silkk the Shocker, before embarking on a solo career.

In 2009, his career was cut short after he was sentenced to life in prison for the 2002 shooting and killing 16-year-old Steve Thomas at a Louisiana nightclub. However, in 2018, one of the key witnesses who originally claimed that he witnessed C-Murder shoot Thomas recanted his testimony in a sworn affidavit where he alleged that law enforcement coerced him into making the false statement.

The rapper has been fighting for a retrial for years but has been repeatedly denied. C-Murder is currently being held at the Louisiana State Penitentiary.

While speaking to TMZ on Tuesday (August 18), Master P expressed his hopes that Kim Kardashian-West’s involvement will help brother’s case finally be resolved. Though, he had some words of caution as well.

“My whole thing is getting my brother home so whatever anybody do that's gonna spark that plug, I appreciate it,” he said. “Louisiana is not the same like all of these other places. I know that Kim Kardashian and all of these other people are coming to the table. I appreciate it. It’s just a blessing that people are understanding that my brother is innocent. He should have been free.”
