Eminem Calls Out Snoop Dogg On New Track
Eminem has called out Snoop Dogg on a new track from his recently released deluxe version of Music to be Murdered By.
On Eminem’s new track, “Zeus,” he references the rapper by name. “As far as squashing beef, I'm used to people knocking me/ But just not in my camp/ And diplomatic as I'm tryin' to be last thing I need is Snoop dogging me,” he raps.
“Man, Dogg, you was like a damn god to me/ man not really, I had dog backwards,” he continued.
Back in July, Snoop Dogg spoke with the Breakfast Club about Dr. Dre’s power to launch artists' careers, specifically naming Eminem as one of those lyricists that the producer helped.
“Eminem! ‘The Great White Hope’,’” he said. “White rappers had zero respect in rap. Let’s keep that one thou-wow, “[Dre] has probably put Eminem in the position where he would be considered one of the top 10 rappers ever.”
“I don’t think so, but the game feels like that he’s top 10 lyricists and all that that comes with it,” he continued. “That’s just because he’s with Dr. Dre. and Dr. Dre helped him find the best Eminem that he could find.”
Elsewhere on “Zeus,” Eminem apologized to Rihanna for a song from 2009 that got leaked last year, in which he sided with Chris Brown for his assault of Rihanna that year.
“And I wholeheartedly apologize to Rihanna for that song that leaked/ I’m sorry, Rih, it wasn’t meant to cause you grief/ But regardless it was wrong of me,” he raps.
