Rappers Are Reacting to Jay-Z's '4:44' All Over Social Media
When New York’s hip-hop business mogul and top-tier rap veteran Jay-Z drops an album, you take a seat, plug in your aux cord and you listen.
Many fans found themselves in this fortunate predicament on Friday (June 30) when Mr. Carter dropped the 10 revelatory tracks of his 4:44 album upon us, a move he cryptically warned us about weeks earlier.
Now that fans have finally taken a listen, they aren’t the only ones on 10 tracks worth of a cloud nine for Jay’s thirteenth studio project, as Hollywood was brought together in a universal listening of the full-length TIDAL exclusive as well. From Hov’s fellow hip-hop New Yorkers like Nicki Minaj, to West Coast’s territory keepers like Kendrick Lamar all the way down to the A with Atlanta trap VIP 2 Chainz, a collective kudos is waiting at Jay’s front door after other hip-hop artists have hit play on the crisp new album.
