Azealia Banks Gets Dropped - It's official! Azealia Banks has been released from her deal with Universal. The feisty rapper signed with Universal in 2012 after major independent buzz but she failed to produce a hit for the label, and they never released her intended debut, Broke With Expensive Taste. Banks seems happy about the decision as she tweeted, "Ugh, now I get to be the cool indie chick I imagined I would be when I was 14," followed by, "I'm gonna have a fresh start. I'm so excited."
