[Watch] What a Moment: So, What Did Steph Curry Tell Kevin Durant After Game 7?
It was one of the more special moments of this NBA post-season.
Stephen Curry and the defending champion Golden State Warriors had just successfully come back from a 3-1 series deficit to defeat the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 7 of the Western Conference Finals on Monday night, when the back-to-back MVP embraced Kevin Durant.
As the cameras flashed to capture the moment, fans were left wondering what Steph said to KD on Oracle Arena's court in Oakland after the incredible series.
Well, wonder no more. According to MercuryNews.com, Curry told Durant: "This is what it’s all about. This is what we play for. Those battles, those moments people will remember for a long time."
Wow. Truer words were never spoken. The series was one of the best playoff series in recent memory, with the Thunder having the Warriors on the brink of elimination with a 3-1 lead, before Golden State won three straight to become only the 10th team in NBA playoff history to come back from a 3-1 deficit to win a series.
As Curry said, that's what playoff basketball is all about and the battles and moments will be remembered for a long time. In fact, the NBA Finals, which pit LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers against Steph and the Warriors in an NBA Finals rematch, will be hard-pressed to live up to what fans just witnessed with that memorable Thunder-Warriors series.
Amazing basketball and dope moment between two of the best players in the league.
