Reggie Bush Says He'd "Harshly" Discipline Daughter
Reggie Bush said he was disciplined similar to the way Adrian Peterson was as a child. And when faced with disciplining his own one-year-old daughter, the Detroit Lions running back said he’d consider “harshly” reprimanding her.
“I definitely will try to — will obviously not leave bruises or anything like that on her. But I definitely will discipline her harshly depending on what the situation is,” Bush said on WFAN’s Boomer and Carton show Tuesday. “I would possibly consider it, depending on what she did.”
Although he later clarified, saying that he would spank his daughter over disciplining her with a switch the way Peterson did to his four-year-old son. Bush expressed coming from a similar disciplinary background as the Minnesota Vikings' star running back.
"I was punished the same way," Detroit’s RB said. "And I know a lot of my friends and a lot of the guys I played with, they were punished the same way, too. I got what we call 'whoopings.'"
Early Wednesday, the Vikings announced that they have placed Peterson on the NFL’s exempt list, which effectively suspends him from participating in any team activities while his child abuse case continues.
