Floyd Mayweather Responds to 50 Cent's Reading Challenge
After being dubbed as illiterate by former friend 50 Cent, boxing champion Floyd Mayweather is clapping back with a challenge of his own for the "Candy Shop" rapper. Mayweather challenged his nagging rival to donate $750,000 to slain teen Michael Brown's family.
In late August, in the midst of preparing to take the now viral ALS Ice Bucket challenge, 50 Cent dared Mayweather to read one page of a Harry Potter book in exchange for giving $750,000 to a charity of the boxer's choice. After learning of the rapper's jabs, the boxer initially responded in true Mayweather fashion, posting a picture with his two recent checks via his Instagram page.
According to Yahoo Sports, in a more mature response, Mayweather spoke with the media, issuing a challenge of his own to the rapper.
"If you want to donate money, donate money to the Mike Brown family," he said. "The best thing for 50 Cent to do, and there are no hard feelings, is to give that $750,000 to Mike Brown's family."
50 Cent has yet to respond to Mayweather's challenge.
