NAACP Leaders Call for Further Action - Lawrence Kirksey, the president of the Clark County NAACP, told demonstrators that they should boycott local businesses to send a message that Sanders's death deserves attention and action. Attorney J. Stewart Parrish explained to local media last week that Officer Kevin Herrington pulled Sanders off a horse and buggy and choked him to death with a flashlight.
