Black Tech CEO Violently Stabbed to Death by Home Invaders Demanding Money and Jewelry

Albert Demagnus's wife woke up to a fatally wounded husband and three strangers.

Early Friday morning, the Black CEO of Computer Management Services Inc. was fatally stabbed by three men attempting to rob his home.

74-year-old Albert Demagnus lived in a mansion nestled in a quiet lake town in Fayette County, Georgia. Demagnus's wife was in bed during the home invasion. However, she was awoken by a troubling noise coming from the home.

As she walked through her home, she eventually found three men standing over her bloody husband. According to the wife, whose identity remains unknown, the men demanded cash, jewelry and other valuables.

Eventually, two of the men took the couple’s gray Lexus and fled. The third robber left on foot and possibly drove away in a getaway car, said authorities.

Demagnus was rushed to nearby Piedmont Fayette hospital, where he died.

The wife spoke to police and described the incident as well as the family vehicle the suspects stole. Police were able to track down the vehicle and engage in a car chase until the two men crashed the car.

Multiple police agencies set up a perimeter, yet there was heavy rain, which made an aerial search very difficult. At one of the perimeter checkpoints, a Lyft driver was coming and said he was picking up a customer within the area. Because it was close to 4:30 a.m., the Fayette County Sheriff believed he was picking up one of the suspects.

"Just a little bit of investigation led us to believe this may be one of our suspects trying to leave the scene," Fayette County Sheriff Barry Babb told 11Alive.

The Lyft driver was in a silver Chevrolet sedan, which is the exact same car the sheriff drives. In a moment of quick thinking, the sheriff and other deputies took his car to the pickup location where they arrested the suspect. A second suspect was captured later along the highway.

The sheriff's office identified the two suspects in custody as 22-year-old Jeffrey Lee Wallace, of Atlanta, and 21-year-old Kavion Wyzeenski Tookes, of Decatur, Georgia.

The third suspect, who was believed to be driving an unknown vehicle, is still on the run.

"It's a puzzle and we're putting it together," Fayette County Sheriff Lt. Allen Stevens said. "Home invasions are generally not random, but we don't have any specific information about this home invasion."

"I feel very confident that we will eventually find this third person," he said.
