GoFundMe Created For Woman Who Saved A Boy From Violent Crash
We previously reported about a woman who most likely saved a young boy’s life by pushing him out of the way of direct contact with an out of control driver and absorbing some of the impact of a crash.
Shanta Jordan has been deemed a “hero” by local law enforcement and just about everyone familiar with what happened. Her bravery should be recognized both through kind words but also financially.
A GoFundMe has been set up to help her pay her medical expenses. You can contribute here.
A speeding car hit both Jordan and the boy as the pair flew in the air and landed on the ground before bystanders rushed to help.
Police chief A.J. Perez believes the child would have died had the Jordan not taken the impact of the car. “I want to say thank you to this good person,” Perez said. “If it wasn't' because she stepped in, I truly believe it would have been a fatality.”
Both were rushed to the hospital and are expected to survive. At one point, it was believed that the boy’s legs would have to be amputated. Now, doctors say they were able to spare him that.
