Justice: Georgia Man Charged With Murdering His 7-Year-Old Daughter After Dumping Her Body Then Reporting Her Missing
Michael Deon Wash has been charged with murdering his daughter. She was only seven years old at the time of her heartbreaking death.
Earlier this summer, the child’s body was discovered in Lake Allatoona in Georgia. Her father said that he filed a missing persons report, after searching for her for over an hour, saying that his daughter Kamaire Wash had wandered away.
However, as the investigation continued, it was determined that the little girl was already dead when he notified police she was missing. The autopsy report found that she died of blunt force trauma.
In addition to being indicted on a murder charge, Wash also is looking at child cruelty charges along with his live-in girlfriend, Lasherae Davis. Davis is also being charged with two counts of cruelty to children in the third degree, making false statements and concealing the death of another. Kamaire’s mother, Kashira Pettigrew, voiced her opinion that both should be charged with the murder.
“She is just as responsible as a mother, as a woman,” Pettigrew told reporters.
Both Wash and Davis are currently in custody and will see their day in court.
