Look: This Brilliant Black College Student Calculated the Angle of Her Dab and Math Teachers Everywhere Are Freaking Out
While the rest of us use an app to figure out how much to tip, a student at Regent University in Virginia is taking the dab to a new mathematical level.
20-year-old Anicca Harriot took a break between her physics class and her microbiology class on Friday. According to BuzzFeed News, during the break, Harriot and a friend took a walk through a park near Lake James.
During the walk, Harriot snapped a photo of herself doing the dab. With math on her mind, she looked at the photo and challenged herself to calculate the angle of her dab.
“I knew it obviously wasn’t going to be the most ‘accurate’ measure, but I figured it’d be fun to do the math anyway,” Harriot said.
After completing the equation and discovering the approximate angle, Harriot took the photo of her dab and her work and posted it to Twitter.
Needless to say, math nerds everywhere could not get enough of the funny equation. The original image even sparked debate about possible errors in her calculation.
Math teachers have even commented on the photo and praised the work that Harriot completed.
With the school year starting in full swing, it should not come as a surprise if more questions on geometry exams start with, “If Lucy dabs at 90-degree angle...,” or “How hard would Jamal have to dab if he’s standing on an inverted plane.”
