Ben Carson Will Not Suspend His Presidential Campaign for New Book

Ben Carson will not be suspending his presidential campaign to promote his new book, 'A More Perfect Union.'

Reports that Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson would be pausing his campaign to promote his new book, A More Perfect Union, are not true, his business manager told CNN.
"Dr. Carson does have a book out that he's talking about on the campaign trail, but he's also talking about issues. He's talking about his policies. It's a very delicate situation but Dr. Carson has not suspended [his campaign]," said Armstrong Williams, Carson's business manager.

Presidential candidates are prohibited from using their campaign for personal gains. ABC News had reported Thursday that the POTUS hopeful was going to be traveling across the country for scheduled book signings in several states, including Texas, Missouri and Iowa.
A More Perfect Union was released on Oct. 6.
"I wrote this book to encourage every citizen to read and think about the Constitution, and to help defend it from those who misinterpret and undermine it," wrote Carson in a letter on the book to readers. "In our age of political correctness it’s especially important to defend the Bill of Rights, which guarantees our freedom to speak, bear arms, practice our religion, and much more."
