Chicago Gun Violence: 4 Dead, At Least 6 Injured This Past Weekend
Four people were killed and at least six people were injured in gun violence this past weekend in the Windy City, the Chicago Tribune reports.
A 25-year-old man was the latest victim in a shooting that took place early Sunday in the West Pullman neighborhood. The unnamed man was shot in the head while he was sitting in the passenger's seat of a vehicle when his attacker approached the vehicle and began firing. He was pronounced dead at a nearby medical center.
Two men were killed on Saturday morning. A 26-year-old man was killed while he was being robbed. He was shot in the head and pronounced dead at a nearby hospital. Early Saturday, a 36-year-old man was killed after being shot in the abdomen.
Uchenna Agina, 24, was sitting in a vehicle Friday when a gunman began firing. A bullet struck him in the head. He was taken to an area hospital and died.
Since the beginning of 2015, there have been 72 people killed in Chicago because of gun violence, according to Red Eye Chicago homicide tracker.
