Tina Turner became the spokeswoman for Hanes Hosiery on March 9, 1996.

Known for her killer voice and equally killer legs, it was only right for Tina Turner to become the spokeswoman/model for Hanes Hosiery on March 8, 1996. The campaign had a budget of $20 million and featured Turner in hot black and white ads with her flawless legs as the focal point.

Turner wore lines like Resilience, Smooth Illusions and Silk Reflections, which were inspired by Turner.  "Tina Turner is an incredible role model and inspiration to all women. The Silk Reflections Irresistible Collection was created as a tribute to Tina and her incredible energy, for women who want it all," Cathy Volker, president, Hanes Hosiery said.  Her Hanes campaign was so well received that Turner topped the sexiest legs survey in 1997.

The also commercials tied into her 1997 tour in support of her Wildest Dream album and, which had the American leg sponsored by Hanes
