Did Lil Kim Cancel Her Concert Because Not Enough People Wanted to Go?
Lil Kim wasn’t laughing on Friday (April 1) when she got word she wouldn’t be getting a paycheck that had been promised to her. Instead she did what any performer would do, and bailed.
As reported, Lil Kim had to reschedule a concert at the Mid-Hudson Civic Center in Poughkeepsie, New York, pushing it back two weeks, because the promoter couldn’t sell enough tickets. From there, the event was slated for an April 1 performance, but the promoter didn’t listen to advice from the venue to downsize to a different location and as a result came up short.
According to TMZ, the rapper didn’t receive any deposits for the event, so the whole thing was a wash from the jump. Interesting thinking that those behind the event had trouble selling tickets for such a legendary figure in hip hop. Maybe her 10-year hiatus is going to hurt her comeback after all, but we'll have to see.
All good though, she decided to hang out with Kim Kardashian instead and that seems just as fun.
