Punching Off-Duty Cop Costs Game $100,000
Los Angeles police officer Onyebuhi Awaji wins lawsuit.
Game has been ordered to pay $100,000 to the police officer he punched nine months ago. The Los Angeles cop, Onyebuhi Awaji, won a lawsuit against the 36-year-old rapper after he failed to respond to the filing.
The six-figure default judgment breaks down to $60,000 in damages, and $40,000 to deter Game from punching anybody else, TMZ reports.
Awaji and Game got into a scuffle during a charity basketball game. Game has since pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from the altercation.
He is due back in court next month.
