World Premiere Video: Belly Featuring The Weeknd: 'Might Not'
Belly dropped his heronic “Might Not” song featuring The Weeknd months ago but he isn’t finished with it yet as he brings us the video for it today.
The visual encapsulates the song’s message perfectly but also portrays its elements of horror and eeriness as well.
Perhaps it was the Canadian connection that had the Ottawa native land someone whose fame and recent success has him doing a very limited amount of features over the past year. Interesting, but nonetheless makes sense as evidenced by the collaboration’s cohesion and execution.
Belly’s been in the game for a minute. He broke onto the scene in 2007 with his first single “Pressure” featuring Ginuwine. He’s also worked with Snoop Dogg, Juicy J and extensively with Kurupt, so he is no stranger to the booth.
The Weeknd has seen a lot of things go his way. The Toronto native was nominated for five Grammy Awards last week. Spotify also announced that he was one of the world’s most listened to artists through their streaming service and his Beauty Behind the Madness was the most-streamed album in 2015.
