iHeart Memphis Changes His Name After Getting a Record Deal
iLoveMemphis's sudden rise after his breakout hit, “Hit the Quan,” has landed him a record deal.
The 22-year-old rapper, formerly known as iHeart Memphis, has signed with RECORDS, in association with Palm Tree Entertainment and Rush Hour Entertainment. RECORDS is a new independent record label in partnership with Barry Weiss and SONGS Music Publishing.
“Hit the Quan,” a viral dance craze inspired by Rich Homie Quan, has quickly made him a mainstream force. Last night at the BET Hip Hop Awards, iLoveMemphis put on an electrifying performance that even had our host Snoop Dogg getting in on the fun.
“It was a wonderful experience and I’m very very blessed. I thank God I’m in a position to showcase my talent, and I want to give thanks to Snoop and BET and everyone involved,” he tells BET.com.
