Beyoncé is the Most Powerful Woman in Entertainment
World stop.
She isn't called Queen Bey for nothing. Beyoncé, yet again, lives up to her popular industry-given title as she has recently been named the top woman in entertainment by Forbes.
According to Forbes' Power Woman list, 'Yoncé is the highest ranking female entertainer of this year. Besting the likes of Taylor Swift and Shakira, Beyoncé is also the only African-American singer on the Most Powerful Woman in Entertainment list.
Her high ranking comes as a result of her record-breaking On the Run Tour with her hubby Jay Z which dominated last summer. The collaborative stadium trek grossed more than $100 million from only 19 North American shows. The tour even went on to become the second most successful tour ever.
Bey also snagged the top spot on last year's Celeb 100 list after raking in big bucks from her hugely successful Mrs. Carter Show World Tour and the surprise release of her fifth album, BEYONCÉ.
On the overall list, the "Flawless" performer didn't do too shabby either. She landed at No. 21 among the list of 100, and is one of three African-American women to make the top 25 — She is only bested by queens in their own right: Oprah Winfrey at No. 12 and First Lady Michelle Obama at No. 10.
Carry on.
