Chris Brown Settles Lawsuit Over Basketball Fight
Chris Brown is paying the cost for some alleged rough play on the hardwood.
According to TMZ, Breezy reached a financial settlement with the man who sued him, claiming the R&B sensation assaulted him during a pick-up basketball game.
Malcolm Ausbon had filed a lawsuit, alleging Brown and three of his friends assaulted him during a basketball game at a 24-Hour Fitness gym in Los Angeles last year. However, the financial settlement agreed upon between the two sides will prevent a court trial in the case.
Ausbon was reportedly asking for $250,000 in damages from Brown, but TMZ is reporting that the two sides settled upon "way less than his asking price" and sources close to Breezy describe the payoff as a "nuisance payment" of no more than four figures.
