Arrest Warrant Issued for Chief Keef
The law can't seem to get a hold of Chief Keef. A $50,000 arrest warrant was issued for the rapper in Highland Park, Il. Friday (Aug. 22), after he blew off a pretrial hearing in his DUI case.
He missed the court date because of work obligations in California, his lawyer Laura Starkman said. The 19-year-old recording artist is scheduled to host a party in Santa Ana, Calif. tomorrow. Starkman did not comment on the warrant.
Keef, born Keith Cozart, was arrested in March for driving under the influence. The bust happened a month after he was released from rehab. At the time of his arrest, Keef admitted to smoking weed and went on to fail a field sobriety test.
The Chicago rhymer has mounds of legal issues, ranging from eviction to paternity suits. He also has a history of skipping court.
