Drake: I Didn't Liken Rihanna to the Devil
The last person Drake needs static with is Rihanna, so he's clearing up the most recent rumor about himself: He doesn't think she's the devil.
On Twitter yesterday afternoon (Aug. 6), the Toronto rapper explained why the number "6" flashed on stage along with Rih Rih's image during his performance at the OVO Fest. It turns out that the numerology was meant to signify his hometown and upcoming fourth album.
"My album title is VIEWS FROM THE 6. The 6 is Toronto," tweeted Drake. "Rih is a great girl who I know is about to kill this tour with Eminem. It's all love!!"
He didn't elaborate on why Rihanna's image was used in the first place. It could be because "Days in the East" is rumored to be inspired by her and samples the line "I threw my hands in the air and show me somethin'" from Rihanna's love ballad "Stay."
Since he has been known to name drop his exes on record, there's potential for more Rih-inspired music on Views From the 6. The album comes out sometime next year.
