Burglary Attempt at Rihanna’s House
Rihanna's home invasion troubles continue. Police are looking for intruders who trespassed onto her Pacific Palisades property this weekend and threw a chair through a sliding glass door in her backyard in an apparent attempted robbery, reports TMZ.
Of course, the singer's Cali mansion, valued at $12 million, is equipped with a security system, including cameras along the private road leading up to it (and a sign that reads, "Smile, you're on camera."). The intruders were caught on tape, and although they were successful in trespassing, the would-be burglary was cut short when the break-in sounded off the alarm. The noise caused them to flee.
This is the third time this year Rihanna's house has been the focus of such creepy behavior. In June, her security team apprehended a 26-year-old guy who was sneaking around on her roof — he insisted that he didn't know the house was hers. He was given a restraining order and time in a mental health facility.
In February, a stalker was caught sleeping in her neighbor's bed — he thought it was Rih Rih's. A judge granted her a three-year order of protection, keeping the obsessor at least 100 yards away.
Rihanna was not at her house at the time of any of the incidents. She's been on her Diamonds World Tour, which is headed to Sydney, Australia tomorrow (Oct. 3).
