Music Matters Returns to NYC With Rachel Kerr
After tour stops at major festivals around the nation, BET Music Matters returns to the Big Apple Tuesday (Oct. 8) with award-winning singer/songwriter Rachel Kerr as the headline.
The "Karma" singer, whose Getting Started EP was released two weeks ago, will perform some of her new hits as well as the songs that garnered the bright-eyed singer national attention. Her unique style combines pop, rock, R&B and reggae for a sound that can only be described as eclectic.
The melodious evening will also include performances by soul crooner TA'J, R&B singer Marcus White; Bradd Marquis; and Soni, who has a single with Raekwon, "Get It Together."
Keeping with the tradition, the showcase will take place at S.O.B.'s. Host Buttahman will kick things off at 8 p.m. with DJ Lyve on the 1's and 2's. The event is free, but it's 21 and over so don't forget your ID.
