Lil Wayne: I'll Be Happily Married Soon
Take a good look music fans, you may be catching the last glimpse of Lil Wayne as one of hip hop's most eligible bachelors. Not only is the Young Money honcho contemplating retirement after the release of Tha Carter V, now he admits there could be wedding bells in his near future.
Asked by MTV about the prospect of settling down soon, Weezy responded, "Yup. Yeah, man, yup…and happily married too."
As for the day he plans to get hitched the hip hop sex symbol may do something rather unorthodox.
"I'll probably run down the aisle," he said. "I'll probably slide into the preacher like it was home plate."
This is not the first time Weezy has discussed pending nuptials this year. In February there were reports that the rapper got engaged after a Valentine's Day tweet. "She said yes," Wayne wrote, which caused many to speculate that he popped the question to then girlfriend Dhea. Realizing the controversy he stirred Weezy put the flame out with a follow up tweet.
"Ohhhhhhh now I see why! I meant 'she said yes' to being my valentine!!!" he wrote. "Hahahahahahaha! Y'all krazy!"
While we could soon find out who the next Mrs. Carter will be, music fans will also be paying close attention to the pending retirement of the "No Worries" rapper. Wayne also told MTV he would hang up his mic after the fifth installment of his Carter series.
"I know y'all want me around for a little bit, and Carter V is my last album," Weezy revealed. "Man, I've been rappin' since I was 8 years old. I'm 30 now, man. That's a long time, man."
