Miguel Demands More Women at His Concert

The R&B singer told the fellas to move aside.

Miguel has nothing but love for the ladies, particularly during his performances. The R&B star recently hit the stage at Joe’s Pub to celebrate the three-stage-roll-out of his sophomore album, Kaleidoscope Dream. That evening, Miguel launched the first stage of the release, Kaleidoscope Dream: The Water Preview, which is a partial EP of the full album. However, the singer had a few requests during his performance and wanted to see more female faces in front of him.

“May I have a water on the stage, please, and more women in the front,” he said. “There’s too many men up here. With all due respect, fellas, I’m not playing.”

Any ladies who made it to the head of the crowd witnessed an intimate performance. The artist went on to do a cover of Tupac’s “I Get Around,” and of course, deliver his hit single, “Quickie.”

The Music Matters singer is currently signed to Jive Records, and received a Grammy nomination for writing the song “Finding My Way Back.” He’s set to drop his new album on October 2.
