Usher's Stepson Kyle Glover Passes Away
Kyle Glover, son of Tameka Foster and beloved stepson of Usher, passed away on Saturday morning. The 11-year-old suffered critical brain injuries following a tragic Jet Ski accident in Georgia on July 8, and had been on life support since.
TMZ reports that the decision to remove Kyle from life support came after doctor's determined his injuries were too severe to overcome. According to sources, Foster struggled tremendously with the decision and is devastated at her son's passing.
Glover was injured while riding in an inner tube on Lake Lanier, just outside of Atlanta, when he was hit by the Jet Ski. Another child, a female friend of Kyle's, was also on the inner tube at the time of the accident, but she managed to escape with minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating the accident, but it has been confirmed that a friend of the family was riding the Jet Ski at the time of the tragedy. No arrests have been made and it is not being treated as a criminal investigation at this time.
Usher has supported his estranged wife throughout this difficult time, and chartered a plane for Tameka to rush to her son's side as soon as she heard of the accident.
"Usher practically raised Kyle as his own. He's known him for seven years," a source said recently. "He loved Kyle. This is a terrible, awful tragedy. Usher is torn up."
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Tameka, Usher and the rest of the family at this difficult time.
