Lil Wayne Sued Over "BedRock"

Plaintiffs seek $15 million in damages for song they allege was stolen by rapper.

Lil Wayne and the Young Money, Cash Money Billionaires had a smash hit with the 2009 single "BedRock," which sold 3 million copies and helped make the collaboration album We Are Young Money a success. But if a Georgia group by the name of Done Deal Enterprises is to be believed, proceeds from the song were ill-gotten.
According to a new lawsuit, filed recently against Lil Wayne and his associates, elements of the YMCMB single were stolen from a Done Deal song of the same name. The suit, filed in a New York District Court, asks for $15 million in damages.
Lil Wayne and his lawyer have been ordered to appear in court regarding the matter on Oct. 12. It's not the only suit the hip-hop star is being forced to address--recently, he was sued by several Tha Carter III producers, including Jim Jonsin, Bangladesh and Pay-N-Skillz, for unpaid royalties.
