Rihanna's PUMA Sneakers are Flying Off the Shelves
Rihanna’s Puma Creeper sneakers are giving Yeezy Boosts a run for their money in the popularity department. Sale of the shoes, offered in three colorways, went live on Puma.com this weekend and are already completely sold out.
This isn't the first time RiRi's collection has flown off the shelves. Puma first offered the sneakers for pre-sale on Sept. 14, and that selection sold out in three hours.
According to FootwearNews.com, the Creeper style, created by Rihanna with input from menswear brand Mr. Completely, takes inspiration from London and New York’s ‘80s punk bands. It’s an update on the classic Puma Suede style, which was originally embraced by athletes in the ‘70s and then by punk bands and skaters in the ‘80s.
Rihanna posted a photo on Instagram to express her excitement at the news. "but how??? Thank you for your tremendous support!! There's hardly a greater feeling than yall f***kin wit my s**t!!!" she wrote.
Though it's not clear whether these colorways will be restocked, the company does promise new colors as early as November.
