Clark Atlanta University to Teach Michael Jackson MBA Course
In honor of Michael Jackson's birthday, Clark Atlanta University has added a new MBA course that looks into the late King of Pop's legacy. Former entertainment attorney James Walker, whose clients have included Jamie Foxx, DMX and Bobby Jones, will teach Michael Jackson: The Business of Music and show how his success grew to such heights through negotiations, deals, merchandising, real estate and film projects.
"The goal is to help students who have an interest or future desire to work in the entertainment industry whether as artist, attorney, business manager, accountant or other," says Walker. "I've taught classes at Yukon University, Boston College and other places covering a lot of topics related to entertainment and the legal profession, but this course allows me to really provide my students with a comprehensive understanding of the music industry and the business mechanics involved."
Jackson, who passed away three years ago, would've been 54 today.
