Chris Brown Launches Toy Line and Showcases Art Work
Chris Brown is trying to branch out beyond his status as a Grammy-winning singer. He just debuted his contemporary toy line and displayed his sculptures for the first time at the Toy Art Gallery in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Dum English is a line of "collectible toys and one-of-a kind art sculptures" that he created with pop artist Ron English. Proceeds from the line will benefit Brown's Symphonic Love youth foundation.
“Hands down right now my guy is Ron English,” said Breezy, whose new album Fortune will drop July 3. “Ron has to be the more creative, ‘out there’ artist I see. His work is so precise but at the same time so unorthodox. I think it’s incredible to be able to see him do what he does and be a fan.”
Brown also painted a life-sized Dum English astronaut sculpture in front of attendees, which included Bow Wow, and afterwards showed off his skills as a street art painter at a private VIP exhibit at the Corey Helford Gallery.
