After Beyoncé announced that she was pregnant, we knew it was only a matter of time before she announced a maternity line for House of Deréon. The haute mama covers the November issue of Harper’s Bazaar and confirmed to the magazine it’s in the works.
"All I see now are clothes that are flattering on a pregnant woman," she said. "It's been so exciting for me! I love figuring out designs that still make me feel edgy and sexy while pregnant. Flowy fabrics are always flattering," she says, "but I still rock my stilettos.”
Bey’s definitely been keeping it sexy while expecting: on stage, in her latest videos (have you seen the latest, "Countdown," where she shows off the bump?) and in the streets with help from her longtime stylist Ty Hunter. "I've had so much fun with fashion over the months," she said. "I have been pregnant through every event I've done, from the Billboard Awards to Glastonbury."
If her own “maternity” looks are any indication, pregnant mothers are in for some hot clothes by way of House of Deréon. Maternity wear actually might breathe some life into the brand and be their best offerings yet.
And when the little bundle of Bey actually comes, we bet a kid’s line will be next!
