Nyasha Matonhodze is the New Face of Louis Vuitton
Zimbabwean-born, British-raised model Nyasha Matonhodze is only 16 years old, but she’s already laying the foundation for a promising career. The rising star has been chosen to be the face of Louis Vuitton’s fall/winter advertising campaign, following the footsteps of stars like Madonna and Scarlett Johansson.
When she found out she was selected to be a part of the campaign, Nyasha told the Telegraph, "My eyes filled up with tears and I thought, 'Lord you are lucky!' It didn't actually hit me until I was in a Rolls Royce sitting eye-to-eye with [famed fashion photographer Stephen] Meisel."
Earlier this year, the up-and-comer was booked by Vuitton's creative director, Marc Jacobs, to appear in their autumn/winter 2011 catwalk show at Paris Fashion Week, starring alongside veteran models Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell. For the print campaign she was photographed in a vintage car at a disused Brooklyn aerodrome.
Matonhodze has previously appeared inTeen Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and has walked in dozens of runway shows.
