Guess Who Will Play President Barack Obama in Upcoming Biopic
Looks like there will be more than one biopic on Barack Obama's youth heading our way. After the indie drama Southside With You, portraying the president's early courtship with Michelle Obama, drew raves and multiple offers at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, another film has been announced that will chronicle the future leader's college days in New York City.
The film, titled Barry, will star newcomer Devon Terrell as Obama. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Terrell was discovered by 12 Years of Slave director Steve McQueen, who gave Terrell the lead role in his HBO pilot Codes of Conduct after conducting an exhaustive worldwide talent search. The Witch star Anya Taylor-Joy will co-star as one of Obama's close college friends. Check out an image of Devon below!
We know his years at Columbia University was when Obama experimented with marijuana and other forms of co-ed fun, so it will be interesting to see how the film portrays the future president as a young and wild student.
Amazingly, years in politics never robbed Obama of his cool. Watch below for the receipts:
