Amiyah Scott may have missed her chance at ratchet stardom when she was cut from The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but opportunity is knocking again for the transgender star. Scott has been cast in Lee Daniels's spin-off of Empire as a singer in a girl group.
According to TMZ, Daniels approached Scott a few months ago after seeing the announcement of her replacing Nene Leakes on RHOA. He reportedly thought she'd be a good fit for the as-yet-untitled series centered around a young Cookie Lyon. He invited Scott to come to Los Angeles and read for the role, and homegirl successfully landed the part.
So, while Miss Scott won't be holding a peach after all, looks like she's on to bigger and better. Can't wait to see her on our screens soon!
