Report: Kim Kardashian's Dad Stopped O.J. Simpson From Committing Suicide

The retired football player almost took his life in the reality star's bedroom.

The O.J. Simspon 1994 Bronco freeway chase is often the most associated event from the now notorious case, but something much more bizzare happened hours before: The now convicted felon contemplated committing suicide in a then 14-year-old Kim Kardashian's bedroom.

During an interview with ABC News' 20/20, American Tragedy: The Uncensored Story of the O.J. Simpson Defense author Lawrence Schiller claims that Simpson recorded a suicide tape in Kim's bedroom, but was stopped by her late father and his then-attorney, Robert Kardashian.

Schiller states that he sat in Kim's room on June 17, 1994 and recorded the tape while holding photos of his late wife Nicole — who he is accused of murdering — and their two children Justin and Sydney.

"Then O.J. said, 'I'm going to kill myself in this room,' and I said, 'You can't. This is my daughter's bedroom," Robert said in an earlier interview with Schiller. "My little girl Kim sleeps here. I can't have my little girl in this bedroom, and every time I come in here, I'm going to see your body lying in this. You can't do that.'"
